Raymond Benton, M.A., LCMHCA (NC), NCC, AACC Member

Finding Light in Darkness Hopelessness clouds our vision, making struggles feel overwhelming. But the truth is, your Creator has already paved a path for you—one of hope, resilience, and purpose. Even when life feels uncertain, you are always seen, loved, and guided. True hope isn’t found in circumstances but in the unwavering presence of our Creator. When we entrust our journey to divine hands, hope becomes an unshakable foundation. As a therapist, I believe in a personalized, holistic approach to healing.

Just as no two people are the same, no two healing journeys are identical. I integrate existentialism, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, Gestalt techniques, and trait-and-factor theory to create a space where you feel valued, understood, and empowered. With a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and a Doctorate in progress in Community Care and Counseling, I bring over 16 years of healthcare experience—11 of those in mental health. I’ve worked with individuals facing trauma, grief, addiction, PTSD, and life transitions, providing crisis intervention, behavioral health support, and virtual therapy.

Through A Ray of Light Therapy (ARLT), I blend faith, psychology, and practical strategies to help you reclaim your story and step into your purpose. Together, we will explore your experiences, break through barriers, and develop solutions for true healing. No matter your struggles—emotional wounds, self-doubt, or spiritual uncertainty—know this: the light is already within you. I’m just here to help you find it.
